Kerala CM VD Satheesan said the Cabinet has decided to implement the Indira guarantee scheme of free bus travel for women from June 15 in KSRTC's ordinary services. He added that there will be no eligibility criteria, and no restrictions based on age or income. The scheme is expected to cost the state exchequer about ₹800 crore annually.
