Elon Musk's now-dissolved Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) had made inflated claims that it saved $110 billion in federal spending, a government watchdog found. "Several issues limit the transparency and reliability of these reported savings...Some savings estimates are incorrect... basis for some...is unknown," it said. Musk had promised to cut $2 trillion from government spending.
