Women in Tamil Nadu will get an eight-gram gold coin and a silk saree on their marriage under the 'Annan Seer Thittam' scheme announced in the first-ever budget of Tamil Nadu CM Joseph Vijay's government. A one-gram gold ring will be given to every newborn delivered in any state government hospital under the 'Thai Maaman Thanga Mothiram Thittam' scheme.
