Congress demands stronger anti-defection law amid Punjab AAP exodus

Congress leaders criticised AAP as rebel MLAs Kunwar Vijay Pratap, Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra and Chetan Singh Jouramajra joined BJP on Monday. Congress MP Manish Tewari called for strengthening the anti-defection law, while Punjab Congress chief Raj Kumar Verka claimed 35–40 more AAP leaders may defect ahead of the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections.
