The Indian rupee has crossed the 96 mark against the US dollar for the first time. The currency, which had closed below the 90 mark at 89.77 on December 31, 2025, has dipped nearly 7% so far in 2026. The Indian rupee had crossed the 93, 94 and 95 marks against the US dollar in March.
