Manipur students protest, call for 2-day strike demanding NRC before census

Hundreds of students took out a rally in Manipur's Imphal demanding the implementation of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) before the census is conducted in the state. The student wing of the 'Campaign for Just and Fair Delimitation (JFD)' announced a two-day general strike from Monday. Former Manipur CM Biren Singh raised the demand with Home Minister Amit Shah.
