Amazon, Swiggy Instamart and 3 other platforms face FSSAI action over violations

FSSAI has initiated penal action against Amazon, Swiggy Instamart, BigBasket, Flipkart India and Zepto over alleged food safety and regulatory violations involving products sold or displayed online. The non-compliances include misleading claims and sale of prohibited products. It said proceedings have been initiated under Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 and applicable FSSA‍I r‌egul⁠ations.
