Delhi's AQI hits 196, highest in 82 days

Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) rose to 196 at 10 am on Sunday, placing it in ‘moderate’ category. The AQI level was highest in over 82 days, with lack of rain, slow wind speeds and emissions pushing pollution levels higher, officials said. Of Delhi’s 43 active monitoring stations, 22 recorded ‘poor’ air quality, with Mundka recording highest AQI at 282.
