The government will invest ₹1,800 crore to upgrade the country's immigration and visa system over the course of the next five years. The investment will modernise the visa and immigration ecosystem through the adoption of technologies such as self-service kiosks and mobile-based services. It will also optimise service delivery by introducing unified digital platforms, among other measures.
