Two faculty members have been suspended at Kannur Dental College in Kerala's Anjarakandy after a first-year student allegedly died by suicide due to harassment over caste and complexion. The student, RL Nithin Raj, belonged to a Scheduled Caste community. His sister claimed that a faculty member once called him "slum dog" in front of other students in a classroom.
