At the 72nd National Film Awards, Mammootty and Kartik Aaryan jointly won the Best Actor award for 'Bramayugam' and 'Chandu Champion', respectively, while Yami Gautam was named Best Actress for 'Article 370', which won Best Feature Film. 'Amaran' director Rajkumar Periasamy won Best Director. Last year, Shah Rukh Khan, Vikrant Massey and Rani Mukerji bagged Best Actor and Actress awards.
