'Time for trial and error is over,' warns OpenAI safety leader as he quits

David Robinson, a leader on OpenAI's Safety Systems team, resigned, saying the company's culture is "broken". He said OpenAI's trial-and-error approach no longer works as AI systems become more capable. Citing safety incidents involving OpenAI agents, Robinson said, "An environment where things like this can happen is no place to grow artificial minds that could be smarter than we are."
