Small-cap, mid-cap indices post worst weekly decline in two years

India's smallcap and midcap indices recorded their steepest weekly declines in two years amid a deepening sell-off, The Economic Times reported. The Nifty Midcap 150 fell 5.26% over the week, while the Nifty Smallcap 250 declined 7.1%. Rising crude oil prices, weak investor sentiment and concerns over valuations added to market pressure.
