Indian Railways now allows passengers to book vacant seats on Vande Bharat Express and other reserved trains up to 15 minutes before departure, even after the reservation chart is prepared, reported News18. The facility aims to improve seat utilisation and help travellers with urgent plans secure confirmed tickets. Earlier, bookings were largely restricted once the reservation chart was finalised.
