Maha govt shifts to online meetings, to slash convoy size after PM’s appeal

Following PM Narendra Modi's call for austerity measures amid the West Asia crisis, the Maharashtra government directed ministers not to summon district officials to Mumbai for routine work. Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule said meetings can be held online. The state is also reviewing convoys of state leadership, with vehicle numbers likely to be reduced after individual assessments.
