The Italian Competition Authority on Monday fined UK-based online review platform Trustpilot $4.6 million for misleading customers regarding its services. The competition regulator alleged that Trustpilot failed to verify authenticity of reviews and allowed businesses to pick which consumers could write reviews. "We strongly disagree with the conclusions ​reached in this finding," Trustpilot said.
