Brazilian President Lula da Silva has reportedly accused Meta of interfering in the country’s ongoing election, alleging that the company blocked his content on its social media platforms. Meta is the parent company of WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook. The controversy comes ahead of presidential runoff, in which Lula is facing Flávio Bolsonaro, son of former far-right president Jair Bolsonaro.
