Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma took to X to call Ranveer Singh's 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge' a "new standard". He wrote, "'Dhurandhar 2' has high chances of completely...obliterating the pan-India south films movement by establishing a brand new benchmark with ultra-realistic making [and] genuine character depths." He added that it would act as an "asteroid strike" on the "dinosaur-era" of filmmaking.
