A UN-organised mission reunited 11 children in Gaza with their parents after they were evacuated to Egypt in November 2023. The babies were evacuated as Israeli forces raided the hospital over accusations that it was being used for military purposes by Hamas. One of the mothers said, "I couldn't hold my daughter...Today is like a birthday, like a new beginning."
