Nepal asks overseas families to submit DNA samples for missing flood victims

Nepal issued a notice on Wednesday asking families living abroad to submit DNA samples to help identify missing relatives after the flash floods. Samples should be taken from the closest available blood relative, with preference given to the missing person's mother, father, children, followed by siblings. Spouses, adopted family members, and in-laws are invalid for DNA comparison.
