RBI's 2026 holiday calendar states that all banks will be closed on January 26 (Republic Day), August 15 (Independence Day) and October 2 (Gandhi Jayanti). Other holidays include April 1 (account closing), April 3 (Good Friday), April 14 (Ambedkar Jayanti), May 1 (Labour Day) and May 27 (Eid-Ul-Adha). Banks may remain closed on June 26 (Muharram) and September 4 (Janmashtami).
