Bharti Airtel on Thursday said Shashwat Sharma, currently the CEO designate, will become the MD and CEO of Airtel India from January 1, 2026. The company's board also approved the appointment of CFO Soumen Ray as Group CFO and Akhil Garg as CFO of Airtel India. Additionally, VC Gopal Vittal will become Executive VC for a period of five years.
