Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) has mandated that medium and big-budget films will be produced under a revenue-sharing model. The traditional system, in which actors and key technicians got fixed remuneration regardless of film's box-office performance, will no longer apply. In 2025, TFPC urged A-list actors including Kamal Haasan, Vijay, Ajith, Suriya and Dhanush to cooperate with the model.
