Vedanta's counsel Abhijeet Sinha told NCLAT that despite submitting the highest bid, the company was ignored in favour of Adani Enterprises' over ₹15,000-crore resolution plan for Jaiprakash Associates. "It seems it is tailor-made for one person by committee of creditors, which is citing commercial wisdom," Sinha added. Whereas lenders said they went with Adani because of a bigger upfront payment.
