India head coach Gautam Gambhir is expecting a contract extension till T20 World Cup 2028, according to a PTI report. The report further said that Suryakumar Yadav remains his first choice as T20I captain. "Suryakumar will lead in the upcoming tour of UK but after that, discussions going forward till 2028 could be purely performance-based," a BCCI source told PTI.
