RBI's MPC has decided to keep the repo rate unchanged at 5.25%, as it did during its February meeting. MPC last reduced the rate by 25 basis points in December, taking the total cuts since February 2025 to 125 basis points. "The fundamentals of the Indian economy are on a stronger footing...than previous crisis episodes," Governor Sanjay Malhotra said.
