Who is Yash Vir Singh, who replaced Neeraj Chopra for Asian Games?

Yash Vir Singh, who replaced injured Neeraj Chopra in India's men's javelin squad for Asian Games 2026, hails from Devsar village in Haryana. Son of a national-level javelin thrower, he won gold at 2017 and 2018 Under-18 nationals. He won Indian Open Athletics 2025 men's javelin title. He produced a personal-best 85.41m to win bronze at the Commonwealth Games 2026.
