France's Interministerial Directorate for Digital Affairs has announced plans to exit Windows in favour of Linux-based workstations. The move is part of efforts to "regain control" of the country's "digital destiny" by reducing reliance on US tech companies, Minister David Amiel said. Earlier, France had also announced plans to phase out US video conferencing tools.
