The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of above-normal day and night temperatures across most parts of the country in June. "There is likely to be less rainfall this June, so higher temperatures are expected," IMD chief Dr Mrutyunjay Mohapatra said. IMD has officially revised its seasonal rainfall forecast downwards to 90% of the Long Period Average.
