Section 163 imposed in parts of Kolkata after stampede at Durga Puja pandal

Kolkata Police Commissioner Ajay Nand has imposed three-day prohibitory orders under Section 163 of BNSS in parts of Bowbazar until October 20. The order cited concerns over possible violent demonstrations that could threaten public order and prohibits unlawful assemblies of five or more people. The move follows a stampede at the Chorbagan Sarbojanin Durga Puja pandal that killed 19 people.
