North Korea launched more than 10 ballistic missiles from an area near the capital Pyongyang, South Korean military said. The missiles, which were launched in response to US and South Korean forces conducting military drills, were fired into the sea. US and South Korea have said the drills are aimed at testing readiness against military threats from North Korea.
