India to ease rules to allow foreign investment in defence firms: Report

India is planning to make it easier for foreign companies to invest in domestic defence companies to boost manufacturing after Operation Sindoor, Reuters reported. The limit on FDI via automatic route will be increased to 74% from 49%. It's also reportedly considering removing the requirement wherein investment over 74% is allowed only if it "results in access to modern technology".
