Kilometres-long traffic jam chokes Delhi-Meerut Expressway in Ghaziabad ahead of Rakhi

A several-kilometre-long traffic jam choked the Delhi-Meerut Expressway near Wave City in Ghaziabad ahead of Raksha Bandhan. Visuals showed long queues of vehicles gridlocking the Meerut-bound lanes, leaving commuters and ambulances stuck for hours. This comes after Ghaziabad Traffic Police banned commercial goods vehicles on NH-9 from August 26 to August 28, diverting them onto the Expressway.
