Anthropic has stated that its AI models contain "emotional concepts" which enable chatbots to respond to emotional cues in an interaction. Referring to its AI assistant Claude, it said, "All LLMs sometimes act like they have emotions....The [emotional] representations influence its behaviour the way emotions might influence a human." Notably, Claude possesses multiple personalities and tones.
