Ukrainian scuba diver arrested for 2022 undersea blast at Nord Stream pipeline
A trained Ukrainian scuba diver has been arrested in Croatia for causing the 2022 undersea explosions that damaged the Nord Stream gas pipelines between Russia and Germany. He's the second suspect arrested in the case. In 2025, a former Ukrainian army officer was detained. Prosecutors say they aimed to prevent Russia from using natural gas revenues to fund its war.
