Gold price rose to ₹79,100 per 10 grams as of 6:50 am on Thursday, according to the India Bullion Association. The price has been hovering over the ₹78,000 mark and has risen by nearly ₹900 since the start of the week. Gold prices have topped the previous month's high of ₹78,060 recorded on November 23. Gold touched ₹81,500 in October.
