US President-elect Donald Trump-nominated US envoy for special missions, Richard Grenell, publicly backed former Pakistan PM Imran Khan's release from prison, claiming that the current regime created false allegations against him. Khan is detained on charges of corruption in Pakistan. "We had a much better relationship with Pakistan...when a guy named Imran Khan was the leader," Grenell said.
