100 highway plazas collecting toll from non-FASTag vehicles illegally: ED

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) claimed that about 100 highway plazas across the country, operated by NHAI-authorised entities, used two "unauthorised" apps, 'Mobdata' and 'Any', to illegally collect toll worth crores from vehicles without FASTag stickers. The agency conducted multi-state searches on September 2, raiding 14 premises across Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Delhi-NCR.
