Researchers at Google DeepMind claimed their new AI system, AlphaProof Nexus, autonomously solved nine open mathematical problems posed by Paul Erdős, including some unsolved for 56 years. Researchers also claimed the cost of solving each problem was only a few hundred dollars in computing resources. AlphaProof Nexus also helped resolve a 15-year-old problem in algebraic geometry.
