Congress MP Shashi Tharoor clarified on an old tweet wherein he called billionaire George Soros an "old friend" and "concerned world citizen". Tharoor said he "knew Soros well" when he worked at UN, adding, "I've never received or solicited a penny from him or any of his foundations." BJP has accused Congress of conspiring with Soros to 'destabilise' Indian government.
