Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili pledged to veto the controversial 'foreign influence' law amid widespread protests. Passed by parliament on Tuesday, the law mandates NGOs and independent media receiving over 20% of their funding from foreign sources to register themselves as companies with foreign interests. Protesters are concerned the law could empower government to target its critics.
