Kalyan Jewellers has approached the market regulator SEBI, accusing certain entities of manipulating its stock price. It asserted that certain "known and unknown" market participants were engaging in excessive speculation and irregular trading practices in its stock. The company has also requested a temporary suspension of trading in the futures and options segment until a SEBI probe is completed.
