Iran executed a man, identified as ​Amirhossein Hatami, on Thursday for entering a restricted military site in ​Tehran, damaging and setting ​fire to the facility during nationwide anti-government protests in January. The Supreme Court upheld his sentence for setting fire to the facility and for trying to seize weapons and ammunition, charges he admitted during interrogation.
