Congress-led UDF lost power in Kerala's Pala Municipality after an LDF-backed no-confidence motion was passed, unseating India's youngest municipal chairperson, Diya Binu Pulikkakandam. It was passed with 17 votes after five ruling UDF members, including four rebel Congress councillors, backed it. Diya said no allegations of corruption, bribery or illegal activity had been levelled against her.
