Centre to release commercial LPG cylinders, states to identify beneficiaries

Amid closures of hotels and restaurants over fuel shortage fears, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas on Thursday said commercial liquid petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders will be released, with states identifying beneficiaries. It also allocated an additional 40,000 kilolitres of kerosene to states as an alternative to LPG. The officials urged citizens to avoid panic bookings.
