Supreme Court issued notice to the Union Government, RBI, CBI and seven private banks in a writ petition by a senior citizen who lost ₹22.92 crores in digital arrest scam. The petitioner said cyber fraudsters impersonating law enforcement agencies confined him to his home for almost a month. He sought restitution of defrauded amount and preventive measures against such scams.
