The Indian-origin CEO of US' Micron Technology, which recently crossed $1 trillion in valuation, was denied a US student visa thrice. Sanjay Mehrotra said his father somehow managed to talk directly to the US consul on the repeated visa rejections. Mehrotra recalled that his father acted like a "trial lawyer" for 20 minutes, following which the consul approved his visa.
