Bramhapuri and Wardha in Maharashtra recorded the highest maximum temperatures in India at 47.2°C and 47°C, respectively, on Friday, according to IMD data. Nowgong followed at 46.8°C, while Khajuraho, Amravati, Chandrapur and Banda recorded 46.4°C each. Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj recorded maximum temperature of 46.2°C.
