The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) recorded its highest-ever property tax collection of ₹7,610 crore in FY26. The tax department achieved 103.68% of their revised goal of ₹7,341 crore and recorded its highest-ever property tax collection in a single day on March 31, amounting to ₹399.74 crore. The western suburbs contributed the highest share of ₹3,721.33 crore in collections.
