The National Human Rights Commission took cognisance of the increasing cases of sexual exploitation of women in gyms and fitness clubs. This comes after it was found that several gyms in Mirzapur were operating a religious conversion and extortion racket targeting young women. Notices have been issued to the Sports Ministry, all states and union territories, and other authorities.
